Pocket Pilots terms
These terms are between you and NimbleBit LLC (“we”), the makers of Pocket Pilots. By playing, you agree to them. On the web, NimbleBit’s terms for its web games also apply; these add what’s particular to Pocket Pilots. Our privacy policy says what we keep about you.
Who can play
You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before buying anything.
Your career
- Your career is tied to your Apple, Google or Steam sign-in, one career to a sign-in, and its sync code. Keep the code private: anyone with it can play and change your career.
- Your career is for you. Don’t sell, buy, trade or share careers, sync codes or invite codes.
- You can delete your career at any time: Menu → Options → Account → Delete this career.
Play fair
- Don’t use bots, scripts or automation, exploit bugs, or interfere with the game’s servers.
- Extra careers (each needs its own Apple, Google or Steam sign-in) are fine for your own fun, a couple at most. Don’t put more than one of your careers in the same company, and don’t use them to move money or planes to another career, farm gifts or invites, or boost a company, an airport’s holder, a world event or a leaderboard. Never automate a career.
- Don’t harass, threaten or target other players, or pretend to be NimbleBit or its staff.
- If you find a bug that gives you an advantage, tell us rather than use it.
What you share
Call signs, plane names, companies and their tags, postcards, and your name under a landmark you sponsor are seen by other players and, for postcards, anyone with the link. Don’t use names or pictures that are offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonate someone, or that you don’t have the right to share. You keep what’s yours in them, and give us permission to show them in the game and on its pages. To report a postcard, use the link on its page; to report anything else, contact us.
Companies
- A company is run by its Chief Pilot, who makes Captains, sets ranks and can remove pilots. Captains can spend from the treasury, up to a daily limit.
- Money you put into a treasury belongs to the company. It isn’t given back when you leave or are removed.
- Disagreements inside a company are for its pilots to settle. We step in only when someone breaks these terms.
Landmark patrons
Paying to be a landmark’s patron puts your name, or your company’s, under it until someone else pays more under the game’s rules. It doesn’t give you any right to the landmark or to stay its patron. If your name breaks these terms, we may take it off, and what you paid isn’t given back.
What we may do when the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, and whether it has happened before, we may:
- send you a message or a warning in the game;
- change or reset a name, take down a postcard, or take your name off a landmark;
- take back money, planes, licenses, rewards or progress gained by breaking the rules;
- ground your career for a time: you can still look around and use what you have, but you can’t take off, rename anything, found or join a company, share postcards or become a patron until it ends;
- suspend or delete your career;
- ban you from Pocket Pilots, including stopping the sign-in you used from starting a new career.
We usually tell you what we did and why at your next visit. Purchases lost this way aren’t refunded, unless the law where you live requires it. If you think we got it wrong, contact us at support.nimblebit.com and we’ll look again.
Purchases
- Jumps, liveries, in-game money and other items are a license to use them in the game. They have no cash value, can’t be sold or transferred, and may be rebalanced as the game changes.
- On the web, purchases are sold through Link, Stripe’s checkout, and its terms apply too. In the apps, the App Store’s, Google Play’s or Steam’s terms apply.
- Pilots Club is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically at the price shown until you cancel. Cancel at any time from the game (Shop → Pilots Club → Manage) or at link.com (in the apps, in your App Store, Google Play or Steam subscriptions); it stays on until the end of the month you’ve paid for.
- Refunds: ask Link’s support, the App Store, Google Play or Steam, or us. We follow the law where you live.
Not for real flying
Pocket Pilots uses real-world maps, airports, weather and other data for fun. It is often simplified or out of date. Never use it for real navigation, flight planning or weather decisions.
Our game
Pocket Pilots, its code, art, models, sounds, writing and design, and the maps and data as we’ve prepared them for it, belong to NimbleBit and are protected by copyright. Don’t copy, scrape, decompile or reverse-engineer them, and don’t use them, yourself or through an AI agent or other tool, to make a copy or clone of Pocket Pilots or another game or app. Real-world data we use from others stays under its own licences.
The game itself
- Pocket Pilots is an online game and we keep changing it: features, prices, balance and rules may change. The beta is a test version, open by invitation, and its careers may be reset.
- We work to keep the game running, but it’s provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of bugs. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, and our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, we’ll update this page and its date, and say so in the game for any important change. These terms are governed by the laws of California. Questions: support.nimblebit.com.
